Assuming that an SAAF was easily removed from its conduit after monitoring was finished, and that it is in good working order, an SAAF can be re-used in vertical installations up to three times. After that point, it should only be re-used for horizontal installations.
This is because each installation will cause the joints to become more susceptible to torsion, increasing the likelihood of rotation effects during installation. These effects are not significant in horizontal installations. This means an SAAF can be re-used in horizontal installations as long as the segments are straight and the waterproof coverings are still intact.
